Gooooooooooooooood Morning Fabulous 1st District Fire Fighters and Life Savers,
I know it’s been a while since I have sent in my thoughts and raves…so bare with me!!!
- Please read my report from IAFF Convention, if you have nay questions let me know. Let your members know that it is posted on the web page, along with pictures!!!!
- Kudo’s for L710 (Cda Firefighters) for doing a great job hosting the Fall Educational Seminar. Things to consider: For those of you that were not on shift – its your duty as a union fire fighter to attend and support this function. Too many times I hear “What does my PFFI dues pay for?” Well brothers and sisters~~ ya missed what it pays for. The education that was received was outstanding. The people that taught the sessions did a great job and provided us with incredible information.
- Let’s have another 1st District meeting. The last one was poorly attended –please get the time off to attend!!!! NOVEMBER 22nd, start at 10am. Poker party following ~~I’ll get an agenda out soon.
- We (Luke and myself) will be deciding on who and how much money locals will receive to supplement the cost of attending ALTS. I have $2000, please submit your request via email to firemane131@yahoo.com (mine) and lmctpichette@hotmail.com (Lukes). We would like to know, who is going, how much $ you need, and if you are willing to travel and share/teach the information you received to the other locals within the 1st District. We need those by Dec. 1st.
